Oodles of Google!

The "World Wide Web" as we know it to be today would not be the same without Google and all it has to offer. From the generic search bar, to keeping track of important documents , it has enhanced the way we, living in a pivotal technological age, learn new information. For example, one of my professors was able to provide us with a guest speaker, without the guest speaker ever having to leave his humble abode, hundreds of miles away from us; this was made possible by "Google Hangouts," which is a feature from Google that provides video chatting, phone calls, and text messaging across any sort of distance. This video chat allowed our guest speaker, Donnie Piercey, to be able to share his knowledge with us about some amazing features that Google has to offer, such as: Google Earth, Google Maps, etc. Because of one amazing Google feature, our class was able to experience learning about so many other features in such an interesting and innovative way.

Not only does Google offer aid in a classroom setting, it allows for a lot of growth in the business field. The article "How to Use Google Hangout Broadcasts to Build your Business" entails how helpful Google Hangouts are in, well, building your business. Because of the "broadcast" tool, one can record a Google Hangout, and literally broadcast it to popular sites, such as Youtube! The article mentions all of the benefits of Google Hangouts broadcasting tool, such as improving your direct sales market, to live broadcasting a meeting or convention (oh, did I mention that it was all live?). Google Hangouts is single-handedly changing the game of how business are able to expand, relate, and connect to their customers.

Another fantastic feature of Google is its translating application, "Google Translate." This helpful tool is designed to aid those who are unable to speak another language, but still want to communicate with the world around them. But, according to "Google Translate May Save You A Lot Of Money,"it is doing a lot more than just being used as a communication application. With Google Translate's new update, those who travel abroad will now be able to simply open a camera on the application and Google Translate will interpret the words that are foreign to you in your naturally spoken language. Finding places and knowing speed limits are now at your fingertips if you are in another country where your language is not spoken. The update will also be able to detect a language without even having to set it on the app. If one speaks a language into the app, it will be able to detect what it is, prompting it to be an amazing feature. All of these new features will make traveling to other countries a lot more appealing and a lot more easy!

As mentioned earlier, Google has been able to enhance the way that we store documents, files, slideshows, and even more! With helpful tips from "Google Drive Cheat Sheet," one is able unlock all of the tools that elevate your Google experience. For starters, Google Docs is a tool that is the new (and more efficient) Microsoft Office, all while saving to your Google Drive, where all of your documents can be stored. Google Slides, another feature of Google Docs, is replacing the old wave Powerpoint. In other words, Microsoft Office is the yesterday, and Google Drive is the tomorrow. Google Drive enables one to have all of their documents and files in one place, rather than opening up a million and one different applications, forcing out Microsoft Office.

Google's tools and tricks are only the start of a technological era in which we are being thrust into. It is important that we keep expanding so we can tap into all of the treasures of technology which have not been discovered yet.
